Undergraduate Research Assistants

 Juliana is currently in her senior year at Florida International University, where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Psychology alongside a certificate in Women and Gender Studies. She founded the Sexual Education Club at FIU. Juliana has also taken on the role of Lab Manager for the CCHI lab. Her research pursuits are centered around areas such as sexual health, couple dynamics, gender studies, sex perceptions, and sexuality. Following the completion of her bachelor's degree, Juliana plans to pursue a PhD in Counseling, aiming to further her research supporting individuals, couples, and families with diverse backgrounds.

Raheim Grant is majoring in Natural and Applied Sciences with a minor in Anthropology and a certification in Health Humanities. Raheim joined our lab in Fall 2024. After completing his undergraduate studies, his next academic goal is to pursue a master's in public health.

Arianne is majoring is psychology with a minor in social media and e marketing analytics. She joined the lab in summer 2024 and has a passion for understanding the stigma behind mental health. She hopes to pursue her master abroad and open her own practice catering to minority adolescents and young adults while contributing to the work of destigmatizing mental health care.

Victoria is majoring in Marine Biology while on the premed track at. She joined our lab in Summer 2024 and is working on various aspects of our research. Passionate about becoming an OB/GYN, Victoria is dedicated to contributing significantly to women’s sexual and reproductive health. Through her work at this research lab, she aims to build a strong foundation of knowledge regarding marginalized communities, particularly women in healthcare.

Yerliza is majoring in Psychology and joined the lab in Spring 2025. She is interested in researching the impacts of cultural upbringings on one's self-perception and identity. In the future, she would like to pursue a doctorate in social and cross-cultural psychology.
